13th September 2011 – Land Securities Partner with Alandale Sustainable Solutions

We are very proud to announce that Alandale have a formal partnership with Land Securities (the largest commercial property company in the UK).

This Partnership has been designed to support Land Securities Corporate Social Responsibility Policy and Social Inclusion Policy in getting more local (London) people back into work (The London Employment Strategy).

Alandale have been helping in the background to formulate the strategy for assisting as many people back into work (on Land Securities Developments) as possible.

This strategy is supported by Alandale Sustainable Solutions, in screening, recruiting, training and supporting groups such as the unemployed, socially disadvantaged, offenders and ex-offenders.

To launch the London Employment Strategy (and celebrate the initial pilots conducted), Land Securities held a formal launch party at the Guildhall on the 13th September.

Present at the Launch (amongst others) were Land Securities Managing Director (Robert Noel) and The Deputy Mayor of London (Richard Barnes).

Robert Noel, The Deputy Mayor, Heather Munro (Chief Executive for London Probation Trust) and Stuart Fraser (Chairman of Policy and Resources for the City of London) were alongside David Bulman (Alandale Group Managing Director) to provide their respective speeches on the day to 100 of the most Senior Management and Representatives from the Construction Industry.

We provide our full support to Land Securities and the London Employment Strategy; and hope to make it one of the leading employment strategies in the industry.

10th June 2011 – Alandale Staff Win Two Olympic Park Awards!

Members of the Alandale Site Teams at the IBC / MPC Media Hub and the Velodrome have been recognised as the safest workers on the Olympic Park.
Avonil Brown(Media Hub) and Sam Coleman (Velodrome) were both individually recognised and nominated by their respective Construction Management Teams and have consequently won 'Safest Workers on the Park'.
