The ‘Data Centre’ Dublin Project is one of a few such ‘Mega’ data centres globally which handles the data of 2.5 billion users across the world. It is also one of the largest Construction Projects in Ireland to date.
Located close to the Dublin Border, the Campus currently consists of several buildings, currently housing data halls, linked by an administration building, with another under construction.
The site is supported by 100 per cent renewable wind energy and a high voltage substation has been built on site.
The campus is currently 250 acres with each of the buildings being over 350 metres long.
In the construction process over 11,000 tonnes of steel has been used, (enough for two Eiffel Towers), along with 58,000m3 of concrete.
Alandale are proud to support the Main Contractor and Client on this prestigious project and in doing so are also engaging with Local Labour to maximise the employment of neighbouring communities and supporting the local economy.
