The Wardian Project:
The Wardian (Arrowhead Quay) development is 2 new-build High-Rise Residential Towers (50 storey and 55 storey) located directly next to the River Thames and also The Docklands Light Railway (DLR) and is situated in one of London’s busiest areas in Canary Wharf.
Access Solution:
Alandale Scaffolding have carried out multiple / varying works on site that includes a ‘Logistics’ Gantry that was designed to incorporate operative and material access from the hoists into the buildings at ground level.
We have also provided various Birdcage access scaffolds at very high levels of the towers (including after the removal of the projects hoists – and during live occupation) making the logistics of the scaffold operations extremely more challenging.
Finally, Alandale also provided scaffold banner frames at high level (as denoted in the picture) for the publicity of the development during the London Marathon.
Specification:
The majority of our works on the project had to be designed / engineered to meet the stringent Health and Safety aspects of our works being conducted at very high levels, whilst also having to take into consideration the restrictive aspects of the buildings to safely deliver the required materials to the workface without interruption or hindrance to the occupants of the building.
