The scaffolding works we carried out at the Battersea Power Station development were completed a couple of years ago, but we are very proud of the scale and complexity of the works carried out there.
Battersea Power Station will become one of the most Iconic developments in the UK, with several phases of mixed-use buildings, such as Residential, Offices, Retail and Public-space being created over the next few years.
The scaffolding was erected in one of the Power Stations Turbine Halls and was designed to provide high-level access to the Turbine Halls soffit – to allow the removal / cleaning and replacement of the tiles within the hall.
The access deck contained hoisting and access stairs, and was fully boarded throughout.
The scaffold was intended to provide a high-loading access deck to allow the use of mobile elevated work platforms across the deck for access to the tiles on the halls ceiling, for removal, cleaning and replacement.
